BMW KRINK

BMW MINI asked KRINK to create a custom KRINK MINI in Hamburg, Germany. The KRINK MINI was unveiled on Wednesday at the Erste Liebe Bar, and will now be shown alongside new paintings by Craig “KR” Costello at the Vicious Gallery on Saturday, October 31. KR will present his newest artwork while Radar Cinema screens a film of the painting of the KRINK MINI next door.

Band of Outsiders – Fall/Winter 2009

Check out the Band of Outsiders website for minute and you’ll run into their unique style of blogging. Many of their upcoming products are displayed by more familiar names such as actors. Their style takes off from a mix of street and high class design, blending both into pieces that are reasonably priced. For the Fall and Winter seasons, they offer a nice line of blazers, button downs, vests, pants, and coats which can great for any social event.

Preview: Oliver Vernon - “Double Down” @ Irvine Contemporary

Our friend Oliver Vernon is about to premier a new set of work at the Irvine Contemporary tonight (6pm). The show “Double Down” consists of the next stage in Oliver’s already psychedelic and well rendered 3-D visual works, utilizing gouache, ink and acrylic to create his complex compositions. During his show at Joshua Liner Gallery (covered) and his last show down here in DC (covered), we caught ourselves and others staring at his work trying to take in all the detail.
Another incentive to stop by is to see Oliver at work. He’s currently painting at the back alley of the gallery and building a gorgeous mural layer by painstaking layer. We can’t wait to see it completed. Check out the sneak peek of the show after the jump.

Damien Hirst x Supreme – Winter 2009 Decks

Here’s an even closer look at the Supreme decks by Damien Hirst that will make its way to stores this season. The subtitled “diethylene glycol” decks represents the finely spaced colored dots, ranging in size depending on each of the five styles. On the front side, the decks display medical symbols as a reference to Hirst’s large attraction to the medical field. These will drop possibly towards the end of Supreme’s Autumn/Winter releases.
